Zombie Take-Out Episode 339: And Also Starring Right Said Fred

Prometheus Scotto and Uncle John discuss a science fiction film from an legendary director that's the prequel to one of the greatest science fiction films of all time, but isn't really a prequel. A film with a great cast that gives them very little to work with and raises a lot of questions, but answers very few of them. This week on Zombie Take-Out, from 2012, Prometheus. Does it follow Aliens too closely? Does any of it make any sense. Is the cast better than the movie? Should the main characters have been killed off a half hour in? Don't be a skeptic?! What?!

Zombie Take-Out Episode 338: Flu Ex Machina

Escape From Tomorrow Scotto and Uncle John discuss an incredibly sad movie that was supposedly filmed guerrilla style at the happiest place on Earth. A film that's part horror, part science fiction, part fantasy and all nonsense. This week on Zombie Take-Out, from 2013, Escape From Tomorrow. Is it supposed to be a horror film? What was it trying to say? Did it need to be in black and white? Could Jim have been anymore unlikeable? Cat flu?! Seriously?!

Zombie Take-Out Episode 337: Garry Shandling and the Magic Treasure

Fateful Findings Scotto and Uncle John discuss a low-budget film that's easily both the worst movie that they've ever reviewed and one of the best. A film that fails so spectacularly on every conceivable level that it redefines the very concept of so bad it's good and makes the room look decent by comparison. This week on Zombie Take-Out, from 2012, Fateful Findings. Is it the perfect b-movie? Is it intentionally bad? Was it written by a child How much better does The Room look in comparison? It's a magical day.

Zombie Take-Out Episode 336: Oedipus Dolittle

The Beastmaster Scotto and Uncle John discuss a 1980s sword and sorcery flick that pit Mike from V against Zed from Men in Black, except Mike is also Dr. Dolittle and one of the second rate, replacement Charlie's Angles was there and the father from Good Times was there and you were there. This week on Zombie Take-Out, from 1982, The Beastmaster. Should more of the budget have gone toward pants? Is there anything that ferrets can't do? Could John Amos have shown a little more skin? Did they spend all of the money they saved on pants on pyro?

Zombie Take-Out Episode 335: Sam, You Did It

Paris, Texas Scotto and Uncle John pay tribute to the late, great Harry Dean Stanton by discussing a two and a half hour film that has no plot, no action and began filming before the script was completed, but could easily be the best movie that they've reviewed in over eight years. This week on Zombie Take-Out, from 1984, Paris, Texas. Would the film have worked without such a great writer and cast? Could anything have been cut from it? Is it Nastassja Kinski's best work? Why was Anne flirting with Travis? Did Travis have OCD? Was Hunter more an adult than his father? Rest in peace, Mr. Stanton.
