Zombie Take-Out Episode 119: Pirates of the ... oh, why bother?

Yellowbeard Scotto and Uncle John conclude their Tangentially Python Trilogy with a film that features the final performances of Graham Chapman, Marty Feldman and Spike Milligan. This week on Zombie Take-Out, from 1983, it's Yellowbeard. Is Bruce Campbell the real father of our country? Which was more of a problem ... the writing or the directing? Why didn't Monty Python just get back together?

Scotto's Rating

Guys, thanks so much for the mention! I was not expecting that.

As for listening to the episode first, I did do that. I know you take some jabs at the movie but you also praise it at times and in the end give it 3.5 and 4 brains out of 5. That's 7.5 brains out of 10 which is a pretty solid movie score in my books. Yes it's true, I probably liked it more than you did but part of the reason I embedded your podcast episode was to give my readers a more unbiased view. Also, the podcast is just entertaining.

I had your podcast bookmarked for a while but only recently got around to listening to it and it is now among my favourites, so keep them coming.

BTW, I hated Black Swan also.

You're welcome. Thanks for sharing ZTO with your audience, I'm glad you like the show. I guess you're right, overall, we did like Erik. I suppose that I didn't remember liking it as much as I did because I didn't like it as much as I was expecting to (I think that made sense lol). I'm also glad to hear that I'm not alone in my opinion of Balck Swan.
