Zombie Take-Out Episode 111: Alienbusters

Evolution Scotto and Uncle John discuss a science fiction comedy that was originally intended to be a thriller. This week on Zombie Take-Out, from 2001, it's Evolution. Was the scene in South Park a deliberate reference? Should David Duchovnyhave taken the role in Epiode II? Why does Dan Aykroyd keep playing southerners? What is the Night Court reference that we use in every episode?

Quick rebuke: The blob from South Park which you referenced (and possibly this movie, though I haven't seen it) was a reference to Akira, in which the main character begins to evolve uncontrollably.

Thanks for pointing that out, William. I think that that's how I interpreted it at the time, which is why I didn't think it was a reference to Evolution. - UJ
